We are pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive package of innovative digital solutions at Goldair Handling’s facilities at Athens International Airport, reinforcing the company’s commitment to the continuous technological and operational upgrade of its business processes.
The project received particularly positive feedback, with results exceeding initial expectations and clearly confirming the added value of the implemented technologies.
The solution is based on three core pillars that operate simultaneously, leveraging advanced IoT sensors, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI): a Volume Measurement System, an Energy Management System, and a Queue Management System.
The Volume Measurement System utilizes depth cameras and AI algorithms to deliver accurate 3D mapping and real-time volume calculation, even for irregularly shaped objects. This enables reliable measurements, reduces errors, and optimizes critical storage and load management processes. Through WINGS’ wi. supply platform, results are immediately available, enriched with historical statistics, and seamlessly interfaced with Goldair Handling’s existing information systems.
In parallel, the WINGS ICT Solutions Energy Management System provides centralized and continuous monitoring of energy consumption, collecting data from smart meters installed across critical infrastructure, including cooling systems, air conditioning, lighting, and vehicle charging stations. Via the wi.supply platform, data is analyzed in real time, delivering actionable statistics, alerts, and reports that support informed decision-making to reduce energy costs, prevent failures, and enhance environmental responsibility.
