We were honored to participate in the 3rd Participatory Workshop (PPCP Lab) of the European project MED-IREN – Mediterranean Critical Infrastructure Resilience Engineering with Nature-Based Solutions, organized by the Municipality of Aigaleo in collaboration with the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos.”
Held at the 4th General Lyceum of Aigaleo on 17 February 2026, the workshop marked an important transition from co-design to the presentation of final solutions developed through a participatory process, taking into account both technical and economic parameters.
During the event, WINGS and its team actively contributed through the presentation of the “Green Smart School” initiative — one of the key actions supporting the objectives of the MED-IREN project — focusing on the development of solutions that reduce environmental footprint, improve energy efficiency, and strengthen environmental awareness within the educational community.

wi.live Culture | Education is a comprehensive digital ecosystem leveraging immersive technologies such as AR, VR, and MR to create new ways of learning, interaction, and engagement.
The workshop also included presentations of the project’s final proposed solutions, a student hackathon utilizing real climate data from municipal stations, and an open reflection session on outcomes and next steps — highlighting the vital role of schools and local stakeholders in climate adaptation.
