The smart environmental monitoring system wi.BREATHE, developed by WINGS ICT Solutions, successfully detected a wildfire outbreak in the Hymettus mountain area and issued real-time alerts to the authorities.

On 28/07/2025, the system detected the wildfire at 14:22:04 – that is, 21 minutes before the official alert from Civil Protection (14:43).

The immediate response that followed played a key role in preventing the fire from spreading, protecting one of the last major green zones in urban Athens.
