We are excited to announce that WINGS ICT Solutions has secured a leading role in four major European CEF Digital projects, as officially published by the European Commission (C(2025)7293). These successes reflect our growing impact in 5G SA deployment, multimodal mobility, logistics digitalisation, smart communities, and critical-infrastructure protection.
WINGS ICT Solutions will act as Project Coordinator and Application innovation & Pilot Leader in three flagship initiatives:
• WAVEO (5G Large Scale Pilots / Corridors)– 5G coverage along the Eastern Balkans & Black Sea corridor
• Multimodal-5G (5G Large Scale Pilots / Corridors) – seamless multimodal Rail – Maritime – Road transport & logistics integration across GR–BG
• 5G-BRIDGE (5G Large Scale Pilots / Smart Communities) – 5G-enabled smart services for education, health, safety & sustainability in underserved regions of Greece and Attica municipalities
In addition, WINGS plays a key role as Application innovation & Pilot leader in:
• 5G-EMCIE – Ireland’s Emerald Corridor (Dundalk – Rosslare Harbour)
Across these initiatives, WINGS will lead the design and validation of advanced 5G SA-enabled applications, powered by our product suite:
• wi.move – AI-based incident detection, infrastructure condition analytics, drone-based situational awareness, worker safety and geofencing
• wi. supply – cargo condition monitoring, drone logistics routing, real-time fleet tracking, dynamic ETA prediction, multimodal logistics coordination
• wi.breathe – wildfire early detection, air quality monitoring, environmental intelligence for schools, nurseries, and community centers.
• wi. care+ – real-time vital sign monitoring, telemedicine workflows, medicine distribution via drones or municipal fleets.
These capabilities will be piloted across railways, maritime corridors, multimodal hubs, ports, remote schools, hospitals, islands, and rural communities, demonstrating how 5G SA and intelligent applications can transform logistics, mobility, public safety, health, and education.
We are also proud that WINGS is the Project Coordinator of the East Aegean Network (EAN) under the CEF Gateways call – placing us among the few European SMEs working on the protection and digital supervision of critical subsea cable infrastructures, a domain of strategic significance for Europe.
Overall, these results position WINGS as one of the top European innovators driving the next wave of 5G-enabled applications, with strong leadership roles across corridors, smart communities, and critical infrastructure.
More updates will follow as the projects kick off.
