At WINGS ICT Solutions, we’re proud to advance the digital transformation of the construction sector through PIRGOS — a smart system developed in Greece, as part of our wi.MOVE innovation platform for transport infrastructure and mobility services.

Developed in collaboration with MOBACT, PIRGOS (Pilot of a Retrofit System for Machine Automation) equips construction machinery with cutting-edge capabilities in safety, guidance, and automation. Using a combination of off-the-shelf sensors (3D LiDARs, RTK modules, IMUs, inclinometers, depth cameras) and custom-built software, PIRGOS enhances both on-site efficiency and operational safety.

Key features include:
Real-time 3D georeferenced mapping of construction sites
AI-powered human detection for safety and excavation depth monitoring
Seamless remote monitoring via 5G and IoT connectivity
Integrated visualization and analytics through wi.MOVE, including in-house developed sensor fusion algorithms and data processing pipelines as well as intuitive visualisations.

With the support of the Target-X 2nd Open Call, PIRGOS showcases the potential of Greek-led innovation with global relevance — creating smarter, safer, and more sustainable construction environments.
