The Devices

WINGSchool integrates with a wide range of diverse devices such as AIRWINGS for monitoring air quality management both indoor and outdoor and ARTEMIS for the management of energy /gas, and water sensors.

• The purpose of this application is to serve as a modern digital museum presenting virtual exhibits, based on AR
• The interaction with the user is done through buttons and touch-screen hand gestures
• The story telling consists of
   – target images, which are recognized from the user’s mobile camera
   – augmented by 3D virtual objects with visual and sound information
• Created with Unity 3D game engine and Augmented Reality Vuforia engine
• Detailed 3D models with texture
• Easy and responsive interaction of the animated models with the user
• Voice narration of the background story of each object for the respective target
• Assets loaded on the fly without being stored locally in the cell phone, as the corresponding files are quite large due to the details in the texture of the models
  – This highlights the demand for large bandwidth and throughput, provided by 5G-technology
