WINGS ICT Solutions, represented by Ioannis Patsouras and Nikos Kastrinios, provided an overview of the 5G-SHEAL project and demonstrated the wi.CARE+ product to graduate and postgraduate students of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The event took place on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at the amphitheatre of the Second Surgical Clinic of Aretaieio Hospital.
The 5G-SHEAL project, coordinated by WINGS ICT Solutions ICT, is a collaboration between leading technology partners and academic institutions — WINGS, OTE, apoQlar, and NKUA — and is co-funded under the CEF Digital programme (Grant Agreement No. 101181166).
The project aims to deliver high-performance 5G connectivity within Aretaieio Hospital, enabling the deployment and demonstration of cutting-edge solutions such as real-time remote patient monitoring, diagnostic services, and VR/3D holographic imaging from medical scans — paving the way for the future of healthcare and medical education.
