Athens, January 2026 – WINGS ICT Solutions strengthens its product portfolio by integrating key innovations from the SEASON project, a Horizon Europe SNS initiative focused on next-generation, energy-efficient, and resilient optical network architectures for beyond-5G and 6G services.
Within SEASON, WINGS leverages advances in end-to-end orchestration, software-defined optical networking, and multi-domain automation to further evolve its Exposure APIs and application–network integration capabilities. These results directly support WINGS’ vision of programmable infrastructures, where applications can dynamically access network, compute, and transport capabilities through standardized interfaces.
SEASON outcomes are being translated into concrete product improvements, including enhanced Exposure APIs that enable WINGS applications to request and adapt connectivity and edge resources over advanced optical backbones, as well as improved resilience and sustainability, automated recovery, energy awareness, and closed-loop control.
These capabilities reinforce WINGS’ offerings for data-intensive and latency-critical applications in different domains such as manufacturing, energy, critical infrastructure monitoring and others.
